BarBurrito Fresh Mexican Grill is Coming
to the Powell River Town Centre!
Tex-Mex Chain BarBurrito has more than 250 locations across Canada
Wednesday, May 17, 2023 (Powell River, BC) — BarBurrito, the largest quick service Tex-Mex restaurant chain in Canada, will be opening a new franchise this Fall in the Powell River Town Centre. The franchise, which is comprised of locally-owned and family-operated locations, serves fresh ingredients and offers vegan, keto, and gluten-free options.
“We can’t wait to bring the delicious flavours of BarBurrito to Powell River,” said Colette MacLean, VP of Marketing, BarBurrito. “We hope everyone will love our burritos, as well as some other fan-favourite items like our Oreo Churros and Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos.”

BarBurrito has experienced incredible growth in recent years, adding 200 new locations since 2017 — 75 of which opened in 2022, alone — and is on track to reach 300 locations by the end of 2023.
“We’ve seen particular success with grocery-anchored shopping centres and in particular we’ve seen tremendous success in the smaller communities.” Jeff Young, BarBurrito’s Chief Business Development Officer, said. “Where the Chipotle’s of the world will focus on the major metropolitan areas, we’ve seen very, very good success in tertiary markets, even markets as small as 10,000 population or less.”
